We offer direct billing for most major insurance plans in Alberta, flexible payment options, and payment plans to ensure cost doesn't stand between your family and the support you need.
Our Fees
Our fees are based on the type of service and the time required. All fees are charged at $240 per hour for registered psychologist services.
PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS
Comprehensive assessments for learning disabilities, giftedness, ADHD, and school-related concerns.
Investment: $3,000
What's included:
Initial consultation and intake session
Cognitive/intellectual testing (IQ assessment)
Academic achievement testing
Attention and executive function assessment (if needed)
Social-emotional and behavioral assessment
Review of school records and background information
Comprehensive written report (15-25 pages)
Feedback session with recommendations

Gold-standard autism evaluations using ADOS-2 and ADI-R diagnostic tools.
Investment: $2,880 to $4,200 (average $3,200 to $3,600)

THERAPY & COUNSELING SERVICES
50-60 Minute Sessions: $240 per session
Available for:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for childhood OCD
EMDR therapy for teens and young adults
General counselling and support
90-Minute Sessions: $360 per session
Used for:
EMDR intake and preparation sessions
Intensive therapy sessions
Initial consultations for complex cases
10-Minute Phone Consultation: Free
Available for all services to discuss your concerns and determine if our services are right for your family.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
$240 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments)
Attending school meetings, consulting with teachers, reviewing school records

Reviewing previous assessments, updating reports, or providing letters for schools

Coordinating care with doctors, therapists, or other specialists (with your permission)

WHAT'S TYPICALLY COVERED
Registered Psychologist Services:
Most extended health plans cover services provided by Registered Psychologists (like Stephanie Laborge, R.Psych #5210 and her supervised team).
Covered services typically include:
Psychological assessments (psychoeducational, autism, etc.)
Individual therapy and counselling
EMDR therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
Coverage varies by plan:
Some plans cover 80-100% of psychologist fees
Most plans have annual maximums ($500 to $5,000+ per year)
Some plans have per-session limits
Some plans require pre-authorization for assessments

PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED
Direct Billing: For clients with eligible insurance coverage, we bill your insurance company directly. You pay only your portion (co-pay or deductible) at the time of service.
Credit Card: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express accepted. Payment is processed securely through our online booking system.
Debit Card: Interac debit accepted for in-person payments.
E-Transfer: Email money transfer to stephanie@launchpsychology.com (please include client name and invoice number in message).
PAYMENT PLANS
For Assessments:
We understand that comprehensive assessments can be a significant investment. Payment plans are available for all assessment services.
How it works:
Pay a deposit to secure your assessment date
Remaining balance split into 2-4 installments
Flexible schedule based on your family's needs
Discuss options during your free consultation
Example payment plan for $3,000 assessment:
$750 deposit (to book)
$750 after intake session
$750 after testing complete
$750 before feedback session
PAYMENT TIMING
For Therapy Sessions: Payment is due at the time of service. You can pay by credit card, debit, or e-transfer.
For Assessments:
Deposit due at booking
Payment plan arranged based on your preference
Final payment due before feedback session (or as arranged)
Insurance Claims: If we bill your insurance directly, you pay your portion at the time of service. If you're submitting your own claims, you pay in full and we provide receipts for reimbursement.
CANCELLATION POLICY
24+ Hours Notice: No charge for cancelled or rescheduled appointments with 24 or more hours notice.
Less Than 24 Hours Notice: Late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) are charged 50% of the session fee.
No-Show: Missed appointments without notice are charged 100% of the session fee.
Why this policy: Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Late cancellations prevent other families from accessing that time slot.
